2002 ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE AWARDSThursday, May 16, 2002 - 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Embassy Suites Hotel - 319 SW Pine Street $48 per person - Banquet and Awards Program The Bosco-Milligan Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of the recipients of the 2002 Architectural Heritage Award: Jim Kelly of Rejuvenation and the Burns Family. They will be honored at a very special evening event on Thursday, May 16th at the historic Embassy Suites (formerly the Multnomah Hotel). Both honorees have made significant contributions to historic preservation in Portland's Central Eastside. Jim Kelly, owner of Rejuvenation, transformed the Neustadter Building (1902) into the magnificent Rejuvenation House Parts retail location SE Taylor and Grand. The late Jack Burns and his son, Bruce Burns were historic preservation pioneers in the central eastside, saving and restoring the Barber Block, built in 1890 at SE Washington and Grand. The Foundation is very pleased to have the opportunity to recognize the outstanding contributions of these distinguished individuals to historic preservation in Portland. Previous winners include George McMath, FAIA; Eric Ladd; Douglas Goodman; William Hawkins, FAIA; George "Bing" Sheldon, FAIA and Lewis McArthur.
