Barbara Pierce was recently named Marketing and Public Relations Manager for the Bosco-Milligan Foundation and Architectural Heritage Center of Portland, Oregon. Her job will be leading the local preservation and heritage non-profit’s communications, marketing and promotion efforts. Bosco-Milligan Executive Director Cathy Galbraith said “she will do a great job for us. She brings along with her a considerable list of contacts, experience, and proven success in the preservation field.”
Pierce gained her preservation, design and fine arts experience as co-owner with her husband of CJ Hurley Century Arts. Previous to that, she spent over ten years in merchandise management, product development and marketing, most recently as a Senior Merchandise Manager for Nike in Beaverton, Ore. “We’re thrilled to have found someone with both well-developed marketing skills and a love for historic preservation,” said Mark Granlund, Executive Director of the Architectural Heritage Center.
“Barbara could not come at a better time for us,” said Galbraith, as the organization addresses very public and pressing preservation issues related to the Old Town National Historic District, Riverdale School, and Portland Public Schools.”
