We need your help in the coming year to continue our remarkable track record on advocacy and outreach. Matching grant funding from the National Trust for Historic Preservation is coming to an end soon. We have matched their gift, and now need to raise $25,000 to keep up our pace in the new year.

Your gift or membership will provide:

  • Programs to help owners of vintage homes be historically and environmentally sensitive
  • Testimony on public issues like maintaining older schools and improving the Portland Plan and
  • Candidate forums for Portland elective offices

What else is coming?

  • Expanding connections to historic preservation through the TagWhat smartphone application
  • More new and the return of favorite neighborhood walking tours -- getting your muscles and brain stretched at the same time
  • Programs like "Modern Living + Old House," historic barns, "mail order" houses, and hard-hat tours of buildings being returned to new uses.

Community Fundraising / Dine Out for the AHC

Organize a community event or host a restaurant benefit night for the AHC.
We are happy to provide information and outreach materials if you would like to host your own fundraising event – hold a garage sale, adopt an AHC exhibit, host a house party, be creative and give us a call with your great ideas!
There’s nothing more fun than eating & drinking & supporting the AHC at the same time!  If you own a local restaurant or would like to ask your favorite restaurant to support our mission and work, then sign up to host a Dine Out for the AHC  benefit.  Download a Dine Out flyer and sign-up form and call us to get further information.
