"Riches of a City" Heritage Auction

DATE: Saturday, September 28th, 2002, at 6:30 PM
PLACE: The Melody Ballroom, 615 SE Alder Street
TICKETS: $40.00 for Foundation members, $45.00 for non-members

Each year members and friends of the Bosco-Milligan Foundation rally together for the annual "Riches of a City" Heritage Auction, now in its seventh year. The auction is an evening of spirited fun and the opportunity to carry away some "timeless treasures" - ranging from "one of a kind" experiences to antiques with rich histories. The annual auction is our way of putting the "fun" in fundraising! It's an evening with a purpose, as we turn the donated auction items into "riches" -- to support the mission of the Bosco-Milligan Foundation…"educating people to preserve our building history."

So, join us on Saturday, September 28th for the silent and oral auctions, with a buffet supper in between. Some of the auction "riches" to entice your bidding include: framed Jack McLarty poster of the Downtown Transit Mall opening; "ReFind" furniture crafted by the Rebuilding Center; restaurant dining experiences; art pottery and ceramic pieces; antique furniture and glassware; silver pieces galore; a vintage quilt; books and posters; tiles; European icons; and vintage cameras. A returning favorite is a ride for four on Portland's historic fireboat, the David Campbell! You can also look forward to a wonderful array of unique experiences in historic settings, as well as preservation-related services. Come one, come all!

AUCTION ITEMS ARE NEEDED! There's no better time for you to donate those vintage "whatnots" from around your house. We will provide you with information for a tax deduction (you provide the value of your items) and promise to send your treasures off to new and loving homes!
