Letter from our Board President: Interim Executive Director Selection

Dear Board members, Advisors, Volunteers, and Friends of the Foundation,

Over the past two months, many changes have been happening at the Bosco- Milligan Foundation, owners and operators of the Architectural Heritage Center. We are appreciative of the service and leadership of our former Executive Director, Stephanie Whitlock, who recently moved to the Oregon Community Foundation. We also said goodbye to our Development Director, Cindy Eldkrona, who is now with the Oregon Humane Society. We wish them both well in them in their endeavors.

Your Executive Board has been working with staff (thank you staff) to keep the organization going as we work to fill these important positions. The Board wishes to have a careful and broad-ranging search for a new permanent Executive Director. We also want to ensure that the organization continues to operate effectively right now. To this end, the Board authorized the Executive Board to find and hire an Interim Executive Director. The Executive Board tendered an offer to Peggy Moretti to join us as the interim Executive Director. This decision is based on her knowledge of preservation in the Portland area and her ability to take on this temporary position as soon as possible.

Our next steps are to update the job description, solicit and hire a new Executive Director. Your help and patience will be appreciated as we work through this process. We would love to have your input on aspects of what is needed in our next executive director. Feel free to contact me with your questions, concerns, and opportunities, at 503-327-6999 or guttmcg@msn.com .

On behalf of the Boards of Directors,

Best Regards,

Denyse

Denyse C. McGriff, President
